Leadership heritage. Aurelian Capital is an independent Kenyan company. Its Managing Director, Sakib Arain, was headhunted in 2015 to lead Qatar's Al Resala Group as CEO, serving ten years before founding Aurelian; he remains a partner of the group. That decade of Gulf enterprise leadership — spanning upstream oil and gas, downstream trading, fintech and soft commodities — shapes how Aurelian trades today.

Advocate of the High Court, LLB (Hons), Dip KSL, with 14+ years across commercial, property and tax law; leads M&A, restructurings and international holding structures.

Commodities Director

Dry-commodities specialist with experience in London's financial markets — fertilisers, grains, sugar and energy — leading Aurelian's trading strategy. PRINCE2 certified.

Kumar Narayan

Head of Trade Finance & Risk

18 years structuring documentary credits and hedging programmes across Dubai and Mumbai; manages Aurelian's banking lines, DLC/SBLC execution and desk risk limits.

Priya Sharma

Head of Origination — Asia

15 years in rice, edible oil and agri origination across India and Southeast Asia; runs Aurelian's mill and refinery relationships from source to FOB.

Kwame Mensah

Head of Energy Trading

14 years across East African fuel markets and terminal operations; leads the petroleum desk — allocations, storage and corridor delivery.
